What a night! In a thrilling semi-final, the Holy Heroes triumphed over the LV Girls with a 3-1 victory that has officially secured our spot in next week’s grand final. The game was nothing short of dramatic, and the tension was as tight as putting on your swimmers after Christmas but as a team, we got there and are so excited to be taking on the Issac Garrard Building gals next week. 

It was Amy Arrow who got the ball rolling (literally) by putting us on the board early with a cracker of a goal followed by Rose Loring with two stunning strikes to seal the deal. You’d think she had a personal vendetta against that net with how fiercely she aimed! 

Meanwhile, Lara Went in goals was a human brick wall. No, seriously. She made saves that were so spectacular, even Mackenzie Arnold would be jealous. 

A huge shoutout to Laura Flannery and Mikki Kendall, who returned to the field like they’d never left and were born with cleats on their feet. And last but certainly not least, a massive thanks to the Mighty McKewan a.k.a. coach Adam, whose quick interchanges, and yelling at us to get into positions we did not understand, kept us all in check. We could’ve sworn we saw a tear in his eye after the final whistle!

So, get ready, folks. The grand final is going to be one for the history books. It’ll be intense, it’ll be fierce, and it’ll definitely be a game you don’t want to miss. Be there, or regret it forever. No pressure. ?
