Garden News
"There hasn't been too much activity in HNS Garden during the past 2 weeks due to the strong wind and heavy rain from Ex-TC Alfred. However, on those few "no rain days", there have been some very dedicated and enthusiastic gardeners, who have been busy placing cardboard on top of garden beds to suppress weed growth. The rain has been wonderful in softening the cardboard. Now, under blue skies and warm sunshine, there are a few jobs that need to be done, including weeding, mulching and planting new winter crops.
If you would like to contribute to the well-being of HNS garden, please send into school with your children some eggs shells and coffee grinds, which they can distribute onto the garden beds during second lunch time.
"A garden is a grand teacher. It teaches patience and careful watchfulness." "
