Mini Vinnies has started up again this year. With the help of Miss Flannery and Miss Frost, Year 5 students are given the opportunity to raise awareness, funds and community wellbeing through a variety of different activities that they think of and organise themselves. 

For Wellbeing Week, Mini Vinnies organised a flash mob, a colouring in competition and sent an email out to teachers with some brain break ideas. 

For our next few weeks, Mini Vinnies have written the update themselves: 

Mini Vinnies are walking for Project Compassion.

We are raising money and awareness for those in need: like Toefuata in Samoa, because she needs to walk 30 minutes to get water. 

We found out that it only took 5 minutes to walk around the whole school in our meeting this week. Imagine doing it 6 times on a hot day! 

Next week, Mini Vinnies will be walking around the school again with buckets filled with water. This will help us imagine what it is like for them to carry water back to their families.
