What a spectacular Book Week we had! Despite the rainy weather, nothing could dampen the joy, creativity, and excitement of our annual Book Week parade. The effort that families put into costumes was simply outstanding. Our school was filled with superheroes, fairytale characters, adventurers, and everything in between. Thank you to everyone who went above and beyond to help bring these wonderful characters to life.

Our teachers also joined the fun, stepping straight out of Where the Wild Things Are and bringing the wild rumpus to life! The parade was kept lively and fun thanks to our fabulous MCs, Nanma and Eli, who entertained us all with their energy and humour. The highlight for many was seeing students smiling, dancing on the podium, and sharing in the celebration of books and reading together.

We’d also like to thank our school community for your incredible support of the Book Fair. Together, we broke a record, raising $950 to support new library resources! Already, some of the funds have gone towards purchasing Make Do kits. These innovative kits allow students to safely cut, fold, and fasten cardboard into creative designs, encouraging problem-solving, engineering, and teamwork. They will be a fantastic addition to our lessons.

From the colourful costumes to the smiles on every face, this year’s Book Week was one to remember. Thank you to every student, family, and staff member for making it such a wonderful celebration of reading, creativity, and community. We can’t wait to do it all again next year!
